This year, Planet B.io is again co-organiser of Pitch Perfect & Boost the European Bioeconomy 2025, taking place on 24–25 November 2025 at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel. As part of the program, Planet B.io will host one of the Pitch Sessions for industrial biotechnology startups seeking finance - a unique opportunity for founders to showcase their innovations to leading investors. 

The minor Biotechnology from The Hague University of Applied Sciences has started its practical modules at the Planet B.io Education Lab: a collaboration that connects academic learning with the biotech field.

Planet B.io has joined forces with Biotech Booster to launch the very first Industrial Biotech Bootcamp, an intensive eight-week program designed to accelerate the next generation of industrial biotech ventures.

On Friday, July 4, Planet B.io marked its 5-year anniversary with a festive celebration at the Vakwerkhuis in Delft. Over the past five years, Planet B.io has grown into a vibrant innovation hub, supporting the development of biotech startups and scale-ups working on solutions for a more sustainable future.

During a celebratory event on Friday, April 11, at Planet B.io in Delft, Meindert Stolk, Regional Minister for Economy and Innovation of the Province of South Holland, awarded a ~€1 million subsidy cheque to the EGGcellent project. This regional innovation initiative brings together the innovative companies Vivici, Proeon and Applikon, along with Planet B.io, which will focus on developing a sustainable, vegan alternative to chicken eggs, specifically for use in the bakery industry. The funding comes from the “Kansen voor West III” program, supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Planet B.io team is growing! We’re excited to welcome three new colleagues who will strengthen our biotech innovation ecosystem: Mohammed Iaallala (Senior Manager Strategic Relations), Natascha Keijzer (Lab Manager), and Katri Kaunismaa (Subsidy Manager). Each of them brings valuable expertise to help our community grow, whether through strategic partnerships, lab management, or funding opportunities.

Planet B.io and ASR Dutch Science Park Fund are very happy to announce that two new companies have joined the Planet B.io community on the Biotech Campus Delft from April 1st on. 

One of the many benefits of being part of the Planet B.io community is the opportunity for startups to collaborate and share resources, optimizing costs and accelerating progress. A great example of this is the recent collaboration between ExCulture and Nature’s Principles, which centers around sharing a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) machine.
