At Planet B.io we believe that modern biotechnology offers unique solutions for the transition into a sustainable, bio-based and circular society. The purpose of Planet B.io is to support biotech companies to successfully innovate and grow. We offer two main services: we build a local community of biotech organizations at the Biotech Campus Delft, where we offer labs and offices, shared facilities, space to grow and produce, and a vibrant community. Secondly, we build a global network of a wide variety of organizations that offer services that support our community.

Planet B.io is located at the Biotech Campus Delft, a unique location that has been a center of excellence for industrial biotech since 1869. Today, about 1200 people and 28 biotech companies are present at the campus, varying from corporates (dsm-firmenich, Lesaffre, Centrient) to scaleups to startups. There is also a pilot plant on campus and greenfield for new production facilities. Since 2023, a partnership with ASR Dutch Science Park Fund has secured a bright future for the Biotech Campus Delft with the intention to invest €500 million in new lab and office buildings in the coming 20 years. Planet B.io is responsible for developing the local community at the Biotech Campus Delft and connecting it to the (inter)national biotech ecosystem.

About the position

As Sales & Marketing Associate, you will support Planet B.io’s growth and visibility by coordinating marketing activities, managing the sales funnel, and maintaining strong relationships with prospective Planet B.io tenants and members.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Creating and rolling out Planet B.io’s marketing activities and campaigns, in collaboration with external marketing partners.
2. Assure that marketing material is integrated in online and offline communication outings, including website, social media, newsletters, and presentations (in collaboration with our communication manager).
3. Execute the acquisition process for new companies, including active follow-up with leads, maintaining a clear overview of the sales funnel, and managing the pipeline of both companies settling on campus and external members using Planet B.io’s services.
4. Supporting operational collaboration with a.s.r. real estate, including meetings on acquisition progress, funnel management, and forecasting of campus occupancy.
5. Implementing and managing a new CRM system.
6. Supporting Planet B.io’s visibility and outreach at conferences, events, and through digital channels.
7. Contributing to the success of the Planet B.io organization as a proactive team member.

You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the Business Development Manager, the Partnership Manager and the Communication Manager.

Your profile

• Recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biotechnology, life sciences, or a related field.
• Strong interest in the business side of biotechnology, marketing, and sales.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Affinity with innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Hands-on attitude with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and in Dutch, spoken and written.

Offer
A 0,8 - 1 FTE job. Initial contract will be for one year, which can be prolonged upon mutual agreement.
Partial working from home can be discussed.
